After helping the University of Southern California women's tennis program to a top-10 national ranking each of the last five years, including a No. 5 national ranking in 2007 as an assistant coach, Howard Joffe took over the reins of the Miami University women's tennis program in June of 2007.

Adam Shoemaker was named Oberlin College head men's tennis coach in 2006 after serving as an assistant for the men's and women's teams for nine seasons. A 1996 graduate of Oberlin, Shoemaker played number one singles and doubles for the tennis squad. He also works as the special assistant to the athletics director for student-athlete recruitment and serves as the on-court director of the Oberlin Tennis camp.

Al Wermer enters his 13th season as the head men's tennis coach at the University of Toledo. Wermer's dedication to recruiting and training of student-athletes makes him one of the most respected coaches in the Midwest. Wermer has continued to usher in student-athletes that will help Toledo to the top of the Mid-American Conference.
