Mary Herrick

Mary Herrick, USPTA
Yellow Ball Tennis Camps Founder and CEO

Mary founded Yellow Ball Tennis Camp, LLC in 2000, and continues on as CEO, with the goal of expanding the organization over the next five years to national acclaim.

Mary has served as a Tennis Teaching Professional for the past 20 years. Mary has developed collegiate players, nationally ranked junior players and high school state champions and twice has coached teams to win gold medals in the National AAU Junior Olympics. Mary has coached nationally ranked players for the United States Tennis Association. She has coached USTA Zonals, participated in the High Performance Coaching Workshop and served as an Area Training Center Coach.

Mary is a past President of the United States Professional Tennis Association's (USPTA) Midwest Division. She has also previously served as the President of the North Eastern Ohio Tennis Association.

She was the recipient of the Herb Nold Volunteer Award in 1998 for North East Ohio and was given the National Tennis Industry Excellence Award from the USPTA at the 1995 World Conference.

Mary has been a speaker for numerous High School Coaches Conferences. She is also an active member of the Wilson Premier Advisory Staff.

Lyza Latham-Fernandez
VP Marketing and Operations

Lyza joined the Yellow Ball Tennis Camp team in January of 2009 to focus on all things related to taking the business to the next level, with expansion throughout Ohio and beyond.

With a 20+ year track record as a marketing senior manager and executive, Lyza draws from her experience as consultant, entrepreneur and lead staff with high profile companies like Hostway, Lucasfilm Games, Mindscape, Broderbund Software, and Mattel Toys. In 1993, she founded a boutique creative and marketing agency, The Myriad Group, in the San Francisco Bay Area. Over the next decade, she launched and marketed over 500 unique products, brands and programs. Notable clients included: Sony, Sega, Mattel, Paramount, Electronic Arts, The Learning Company, Autodesk, Siemens, Wells Fargo and Xerox. Applying traditional consumer marketing intelligence to the burgeoning interactive entertainment industry and black-box enterprise software solutions, she participated in the rapid transformation and success of numerous organizations and brands. Subsequently, she has served as an independent consultant to a wide range of high tech, financial infrastructure and consumer products companies. She has developed and implemented numerous successful go-to-market and expansion strategies on both a local and a global basis, for traditional brick and mortar as well as entirely virtual online entities.

Applying her experience driving change and leading organizations through intense growth, Lyza is dedicated to seeing Yellow Ball Tennis Camp achieve its full potential on a national level.
